HOWEVER I should point out that there is NO way for me to list my top 5, 10 or even 20 anime without breaking my Tops into genres... yes i have watched that many that i love TOO many and have too many tops lol Be prepared. I will make a list... per genre... :) it will not be short... give me a week or so!

Anime is something that is amazing in itself. I have personally watched quite a few series and there are a select few that I absolutely love. So here goes my list.

  • Full Metal Alchemist (Both Series)
  • S-Cry-Ed
  • Death Note
  • Escaflowne
  • Case Closed

These are the ones that I have personally thought were the best. The stories are gripping, characters are deep, and it just keeps you on the edge of your seat. Unfortunately, I have never seen a Gundam series, I might have to go off everyone's list and pick one to watch. :D

I dearly love Escaflowne. I've been meaning to give it another watch. Really enjoyed it quite a bit.

Oh my goodness. Where to begin? I love Anime, but honestly, I'm not really into the newest stuff. Sword Art Online is the last great modern Anime I watched completely through. I just started watching Attack On Titan but I haven't seen enough episodes to form a meaningful opinion yet. OK - so my all time favorites are:

Robotech (The American Series That included The Macross Saga, Southern Cross, Invid Invasion, New Generation, & Robotech Masters)
Sword Art Online
Samurai X / Rurouni Kenshin
The Vision of Escaflowne
Appleseed
Appleseed: Ex Machina
Vexille
Claymore
Neon Genesis Evangelion
☑ Ninja Scroll

The rest are series/movies I really enjoyed and have watched multiple times:

Star Blazers
Witch Hunter Robin
Basilisk
Spriggan
Hellsing
Witchblade
Afro Samurai
Berserk
Black Magic M-66
Black Lagoon
Blade of the Immortal
Blood: The Last Vampire
Blue Submarine No. 6
Princess Mononoke
Queen's Blade
Record of the Lodoss War
Gunslinger Girl
Gunsmith Cats
Mobile Suit: Gundam Seed
Trinity Blood
The Dagger of Kamui
Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex

YsFanatic, I really liked Rah Xephon a lot.

At first I thought RahXephon was going to be an Evangelion clone, but I was so wrong, lol.  It ended up replacing Evangelion as a favorite series, even if there are some plot points where I still don't fully understand.
